He ran for a long time afterward, giving the impression of being cursed, but finally, Xander Schauffele is major champion! Leader since the first round thanks to a record card of 62 (-9), the 2016 Olympic champion, was only joined by Collin Morikawa on the evening of the moving day. After numerous major escapes, Xander Schauffele did not let this chance slip away. Viktor Hovland finished 3rd, he who was for a time co-leader and even sole leader during the last lap. Collin Morikawa was unable to keep up with the winner. With just one birdie for a bogey, he finished 4th.
