Women's Australian Open: victory for Inbee Park, podium for Perrine Delacour
With a total score of -14, the South Korean Inbee Park won this Sunday the Women's Australian Open in Adelaide. Excellent performance from the two French women involved in the tournament: Perrine Delacour finished 3rd and Céline Boutier 6th.
The wind was blowing hard this Sunday at the Royal Adelaide, but has not turned against Inbee Park, at the top of the leaderboard since the start of the Women's Australian Open. In difficult conditions (only one card below 70 today), the seven-time winner in Major won her first tournament for two years on the LPGA circuit and significantly increased her chances of qualifying this summer for the Tokyo Olympics, including she is the reigning gold medalist. “It was a tough day, very different from the previous three. It has been eight years since I came to Australia and lifting the trophy here is a feeling apart, said Inbee Park, whose caddy, Brad Beecher, is Australian. Every year Brad would ask me to come back and play at his home, but the tournament was too early in the season for me. This year, I did well to come. "
For the first time in nearly two years, the Hall-of-Famer is back in the winner's circle! 🏆

Perrine Delacour and Céline Boutier in the spotlight
The French also did well to come. Starting with Perrine Delacour who, thanks to her 3e place, sign one of the best performances of his young career. A triple bogey on the 14th dashed his hopes of aiming even higher, but a very good reaction (two birdies on the following holes) allowed him to snatch a place on the podium (-10) in extremis, four strokes behind the leader.

The day was more difficult for Céline Boutier, author of more bogey this Sunday (3) than the previous two days (1). A final bogey on the last hole knocked her off the 4e the 6e place, which remains a good performance, which crowns an excellent start to the season with 3 top 10 in the first four tournaments.
The LPGA circuit will not resume its course until mid-March, for the Bank of Hope Founders Cup in Phoenix (Arizona), several Asian events having been canceled due to the coronavirus.
