US Women's Open: four French women at the start of the 3rd Major of the season!
Four Frenchwomen will take the start this Thursday of the US Women's Open in CordeValle located on the west coast of the United States, about a hundred kilometers south of San Francisco (California).
Jade Schaeffer and Valentine Derrey from the European qualifiers in May will join in San Martin, Karine Icher and Gwladys Nocera also at the start of the US Women's Open, third Major of the season. Valentine Derrey will start the first Thursday, followed by Gwladys Nocera. Karine Icher and Jade Schaeffer will leave in the afternoon, late at night in French time. World number three Inbee Park, winner in 2013 and 2008, will still be absent with a thumb injury. World number one Lydia Ko, Canadian Brooke M. Henderson and Thailand's Ariya Jutanugarn are the big favorites of this edition. The South Korean In-Gee Chun, winner = last season, remains a serious candidate for the double after her five podiums since the start of the season!
