The course record was shattered by the South Korean Hyo Joo Kim after the first round of The Evian Championship with a breathtaking first card of 61 (-10).

Kim thus signs a historic performance with the lowest score ever reached in the Grand Slam tournament.

Kim, 19, with four professional victories under her belt, had already played 61 (-11) on the LPGA in Japan in 2013.
The KLPGA (Korean circuit) player takes control of the tournament with 4 strokes ahead of her illustrious pursuer Carrie Webb Seven-time Major winner.

The Australian also printed her rhythm on the course with 8 birdies including 4 in a row and only 2 bougeys with a first card of 65 (-6).
The Norwegian Suzann Pettersen, winner of the Evian Championship in 2013, shares fourth place with the American Brittany Lincicome.

A good start also for the first French Karine Icher who remains in good place 6th, 7 shots from the head with a card of 68 (-3)
Note, the pleasant surprise of the day with Céline Boutier, 21 years old still an amateur having benefited from a wild card for her first participation which remains in the par with 9 nods.

Joanna Klatten and Gwladys Nocera finish this first 63rd lap. Julie Greciet 74th, Valentine Derrey points to 79th position.

Ariane Provot and Caroline Afonso finish in 104th and 114th ranks.
