On August 25, 2019, the Scottish Carly Booth put an end to seven years of famine before winning her third Ladies European Tour title, at the Tipsport Czech Ladies Open, co-sanctioned with the LET Access Series. The French Anaïs Meysonnier shares the 2nd place on the podium.

Carly Booth recorded laps of 68, 69 and 70 for a total of 207, (-9) after 54 holes, at Golf Resort Karlštejn to finish one stroke ahead of, the French Anaïs Meysonnier, the Finnish Sanna Nuutinen and the English duo Charlotte Thompson and Hayley Davis.

Germany's Olivia Cowan took sixth place and amateur Patricie Macková was the best Czech player and shares 12th place.

Carly Booth won her two previous titles in 2012, at the Scottish and Swiss Opens, the Scottish woman was overcome with emotion when she realized she knew her name was at the top of the table. After completing her last round, she asked the photographer at LET where the score was, who was the leader and how many people were neck and neck with her. He has answered : "Just you: you won", she burst into tears.

Her last roller coaster round had seven birdies and five bogeys and she asked her caddy, Andy Carter, a golf professional at Jumeirah Golf Estates in Dubai, "Did I just play golf? ".

She started the final round tied for the lead with Nuutinen at 7 under par, but got off to a rough start, she got out of bounds on her first stroke of the driver, then missed three strokes on her first four holes. .

However, she produced a brave retaliation with good birdies on the fifth, seventh and ninth holes, to start the turn in the par and share the first place.

On the 5, she birdie of 1m, then on the 50 par-7, she played for a 5-foot right-breaking putt, before returning a magnificent 20-meter putt on the 6.

She took a decisive advantage after birdies on holes 11 and 13,, playing an iron 5 shot within 1; 80 meters from the flag on 11 then a chip on long 13, but suffers 2 new bogeys on holes 14 and 15.

From that point on, the game plan was to birdie the last three holes, which she did on the 16 and 17, before ending with a par on the 18. "It was probably just as well that I did not know what the situation was at the time"said Carly Booth.

“I'm a little flabbergasted by this whole day. I played some good golf and had to really dig deep for this last round. I am overwhelmed with happiness ” , she said.

“It's been seven years, it's a bit of a shock. Not knowing what the score was, I didn't know anything about the leader board and made a really solid par at the end. "

“It's a country that I love to visit, I've had some good results here in the Czech Republic in Pro-Ams and winning this tournament means a lot to me. Finally getting a victory after seven years is incredible ” .

Carly Booth, from Comrie in Perthshire, said she was heading to her home in Manchester the same evening, where she will celebrate her victory with her friends.
