Clap at the end of the 9th edition of the Etoiles de Mougins, devoted to dessert in all its forms. Three days of sweet delights and among the highlights of this crazy weekend are:

The emotion of a guest of honor, Christelle Brua, Pastry Chef at Pré Catelan Lenôtre *** who amazed us all and will leave Mougins with its beautiful sweet imprint.

The humility of a great Monsieur de la Gastronomie, Philippe CONTICINI, an exceptional guest, very touched by his tribute during the inauguration evening.

The talent of Matthieu QUETGLAS, a 21-year-old young sommelier, who won the Competition for the Best Sommelier of the Southeast, organized in collaboration with the Association of Sommeliers Nice Côte d'Azur Provence after only 3 months of sommellerie. Three timed events punctuated the chalenge: a sensory analysis of four wines, a scenario with customer reception and a champagne service.

The international competition of the Young Chef, crucible of young talents, won this year by David BARAT from the Vieux Logis Relais et Château in Tremolat, after four hours of fighting, during which four young candidates perspired to try to take up the challenge of this very competitive popular.

The launch of the Culinary College of France - PACA region by Gérald PASSEDAT and Arnault DONKELE who came especially to talk about their profession to be preserved, at all costs! A new fight for the defense of the quality of French cuisine.

The crazy days of the 120 chefs in demonstrations or workshops, and the TOQUES BRULÉES who once again surprised by an improvised show featuring a duck fillet in soy sauce and wasabi, a "gambero rosso" in fruit vinegar from the passion or a zucchini tartare with coriander.

The day of school children or 750 little budding chefs all crazy could benefit from workshops orchestrated by Philippe Conticini, Christelle Brua, Vincent Thierry, Vincent Lucas and many others ... and make a giant pie of more than 120 meters.

A conquered public, and 25 enthusiasts, eager to discover the new trends that have made the trip.

Neither Christelle without “wings” like Air France, nor the uncertain weather, nor the steel birds retained on the ground, have deprived a festival of apotheosis of dessert. An explosion in the mouth but also in the colorful alleys of the village for the occasion! Salty or sweet, all the chefs have tasted success ... and all want more ...

See you next year to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Stars of Mougins…
