This event for amateurs will take place in a classic format of individual competition in net stableford. For this first edition, golfers will be able to choose one or more qualifying clubs via the official website of National Golf Week (www.nationalgolfweek.com) and register for 25 € per person.

Each club offers a single date to play the competition on its land, the 4 best net scores of which will qualify for the final, which will be organized the day before National Golf Week on the Eagle course at the National Golf.

Antoine Robin, founder of golf # together, a co-organizing company, justifies these choices: “When preparing for National Golf Week, we imagined a process that allows any amateur player to participate. at this event in the exceptional setting of the National Match Play. We think it's an unattainable dream to share a game with a professional player, and moreover on the Albatross! The National Golf Tour offers this gateway with a simple and affordable course.

From the end of May, the clubs that have joined the competition will be able to welcome up to 100 people to try their luck and hope to live this unforgettable experience.

Three highlights

The National Golf Tour will take place in three phases:

  • From May to October 2021: regional qualification in 25 clubs, spread throughout France to accommodate a large number of licensees.
  • March 30, 2022: the national final on the course of the Eagle at the National Golf will bring together 100 competitors selected during the qualification organized in their club (4 per qualification). The formula will be identical (individual net stableford).
  • March 31 and April 1, 2022: the National Match Play on the course of the Albatross (National Golf) for the 2 amateurs qualified at the end of the final.

National Match Play is a new alliance competition which will host 32 duos (1 pro + 1 amateur) to play according to the very exciting 6-hole match-play formula on March 31 and April 1, 2022. Played during National Golf Week, it will take place on the stadium which still echoes the exploits of the Ryder Cup 2018, with an unprecedented 1-2-15-16-17-18 sequence which promises epic clashes! Organized on a favorable date, one week before the Augusta Masters, the tournament will bring together an exceptional mixed field and bringing together all generations of French pros and proets. The organization will bear the costs (accommodation and catering) of the 2 amateurs who will have this privilege.

The National Golf Tour is supported by 3 golf networks in France (Golfy, Open Golf Club and UGolf) and several independent golf courses, as well as Golf Magazine which will regularly monitor the competition.

They said

Charles-Henri Bachelier, president of Versicolor Sports:

“The National Golf Tour is an event designed to make accessible, inaccessible. In a fun way, by practicing in his golf course or in a golf course close to home, with family or friends, passionate golfers will have the opportunity to qualify for a final on the course of the Eagle; with in the sights the possibility of playing with pros and proets on the Albatross at the National Golf as part of the National Match Play. For 25 €, you will have the opportunity to do two 18 holes on two different golf courses and up to 5 rounds of National Match Play! Never seen… "

Antoine Robin, founder of golf # together:

“Conceiving a great golf party with the Federation could not be imagined without the involvement of licensees from all over the territory. Thanks to the National Golf Tour, we want to offer an entertainment that is easy to organize for clubs and attractive enough to make golfers want to register for a competition after several months of prohibition. Of course, the finalists will be invited to National Golf Week and will be able to continue their stay with us to enjoy the event in all its aspects. I thank the networks and clubs who quickly joined the project to allow us to launch it in a few weeks, despite the postponement of National Golf Week. "
