The year is 1987. Japanese businessman Yashuiko Saka, a lover of Burgundy and a golfer in his spare time, walks past an old ruined castle listed as a historic monument. He immediately fell in love with this ancient fortress dating from the XNUMXth century and decided to renovate it to create a golf resort. Three years later, the hotel and the course were inaugurated, in the presence of Prime Minister Michel Rocard.

Under the leadership of Tobias Yang, General Manager of this exceptional establishment, the resort, positioned in the top 100 of the Golf World Ranking, continues its ascent towards excellence.

On the garden side, the Géry Watine - Thierry Spretch pair have designed a playful par 73 (with five par 5), the wide fairways surrounded by roughs that are not very penalizing making the course accessible to all levels of play. 'incline dangerously towards the bunkers (85 in total) is the challenge n ° 1 of an 18 holes crossed by a stream (the Rubillon) on half of them. The green par 3 of hole 11, with a water obstacle to fly over and the castle in the background looks like a postcard of a golf course which ends in a very beautiful way with the flowered fore-green of the 17 and par 5 of 18, which has an air of resemblance to its little brother of 11.
