For the 7th consecutive year, the “Smuggler Golf Cup”, the largest Inter-School Student Golf Tournament in France, organized by the Team Golf EDHEC association, will be held from April 1 to 3 at Golf du Touquet.

20160219_SmugglerGolfCup_01The Smuggler Golf Cup, which will celebrate its seven years of existence on the weekend of April 1, 2 and 3, 2016, sees around a hundred students each year from the largest French schools (HEC, ESSEC, ESCP, EDHEC, Polytechnique , Centrale…) compete on the magnificent Golf du Touquet. Much more than a competition, the tournament turns out to be a truly exceptional weekend for its participants. The tournament was able to win over many students during the last edition. It will see golfers of all levels compete in duos, and for the first time this year a team of handigolfeurs on the two 18 holes of an exceptional course. The flagship of the region's golf courses, Le Touquet's reputation goes far beyond the Opal Coast since its sea course is ranked among the 50 most beautiful in Europe. The tournament will take place in two 18 holes: that of La Mer and that of La Forêt, entirely dedicated to participants during the tournament. A meeting that will bring together at the dawn of spring nearly 180 participants and thus represents the largest 100% student golf tournament in France. The competition, which also welcomes business executives, aims to promote exchanges between students from grandes écoles and managers, in an informal setting. Various activities (drive contests, tennis tournaments, etc.) will punctuate this sporty and friendly weekend.

Student world

Team Golf EDHEC is an association of the EDHEC Business School created in September 2009. Driven by the desire to bring golf to life within EDHEC and to organize a benchmark competition, it has become in just a few years a must in the midst of student sports associations. French costume designer since 1978, and a true reference in the world of men's fashion, The Smuggler company has been the main partner of the Grandes Écoles tournament since its inception. His commitment and loyalty made the tournament an exceptional weekend where competition also rhymes with pleasure. Because as Bobby Jones, famous golfer of the twenties said, "The first objective of any golf course should be to provide pleasure to as many players as possible, regardless of their skill". Today a benchmark in the world of Grandes Ecoles golf, the Smuggler Golf Cup aims to increase its reputation within the European student world as well as with companies. Each year, it can count on the trust shown by its partners (PepsiCo, Canal +, RFM Société Générale, etc.) to satisfy its aspirations. And for the party to be perfect the 1er, April 2 and 3, Smuggler will offer magnificent polo shirts to all participants and two custom suits to the winners!
