Scottie Scheffler is crowned Olympic champion at Golf National! In a ceremony full of emotion, the world number 1 won gold for the United States thanks to a course record equaled this Sunday in 62 (-9). Having been up to five strokes behind on Sunday, the American overturned the predictions to succeed his compatriot Xander Schauffele.

Tommy Fleetwood falls just short of the playoffs. Having taken advantage of the errors of Jon Rahm, associated with him in the last part, Tommy Fleetwood took control of the event during the return of the 4th round. At -18 at the start of the 16th, Tommy Fleetwood needed a birdie to join Scheffler at -19. Sublimating himself at 16 with an iron shot placed at the flag, Tommy Fleetwood signs a birdie, before conceding a stroke on the course at 17. He still wins the silver medal thanks to a valiant par at 18.

Hideki Matsuyama takes third place and the bronze medal. The Japanese, leader in the first round, ends his week in style with a 65 (-6) and a medal around his neck.

The French and all of national golf vibrated and hoped behind Victor Perez! The Frenchman came very close to grabbing the podium in a completely crazy day. Pushed by the cheering public on the return, Victor Perez panicked the leaderboard with a series of birdie, birdie, eagle, birdie, birdie from 12 to 16. Unfortunately, his last two birdie attempts came close to the hole. He finished 4th, one stroke away from the medal. Rory McIlroy finished 5th.

Difficult week for Matthieu Pavon who finished at the bottom of the rankings at +13. The Frenchman failed to play under par this week of the Games.
