From September 23 to 25, the 43rd edition of the Ryder Cup takes place, in Whistling Straits.

It's time for captains Steve Stricker and Padraig Harrington to make their picks and pick 12 players. The American team is now known, while Team Europe will be announced after the BMW PGA Championship being played in Wentworth.

Ryder Cup: Stricker announces his team

The Albatross Hole 1, during the 2018 Ryder Cup.

With two weeks to go before the start of the Ryder Cup, we fully know the makeup of the American squad. It is recalled that the selection of the twelve members representing the star-spangled banner is done as follows: six players selected at world points won since the last Ryder Cup, six players selected by the captain, in this case Steve Stricker.

The six players selected for points are therefore Dustin Johnson, Collin Morikawa, Patrick Cantlay, Justin Thomas, Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka.

The six captain's picks are Xander Sc Chaudele, Tony Finau, Harris English, Daniel Berger, Jordan Spieth and Scottie Scheffler.

The captain, nine-time winner on the PGA Tour, is putting together a rejuvenated team for this edition at Whistling Straits. However, despite an average age of 29 and a 50% rookie team, Team USA will give Padraig Harrington's men a hard time.

Indeed, the twelve Americans are ranked in the top 20 in the world, with the exception of Scottie Schaeffler who is 21st.

On the European side, we currently know five players: John Rahm, Tommy Fletwood, Rory McIlroy, Viktor Hovland and Paul Casey.

This weekend is played the BMW PGA Championship in England, the last chance for the non-selected players, to take important points and convince the Irish captain.

Thus, four players will be selected by their world ranking after the tournament, and three players will be chosen by Padraig Harrington to represent the old continent.

We hope that our Frenchman Victor Perez, currently 51st in the world, will shine in England and get a ticket for his first participation in the Ryder Cup.
