Despite a triple bogey and two balls in the water, Rory McIlroy came out in Dubai with a card under par of 70 (-1). He retains his leadership position after two rounds, of this Dubai Invitational with two shots ahead of Jeff Winther and Yannik Paul. Three French people are ranked in the top 20: Julien Guerrier is 18th and Antoine Rozner and Romain Langasque are 20th.

This week we find the DP World Tour in Dubai for the Dubai Invitational, a big rehearsal in the Emirates before the first Rolex Series of the year which will take place next week. After two rounds, it is the best player in the field who leads the ranking: Rory McIlroy is leader at -10 on the Dubai Creek Resort course. After a sumptuous first day in -9, the Northern Irishman experienced a small mishap on the par 3 of the 8: two balls in the water which cost McIlroy a quadruple bogey.

Regardless, Scottie Scheffler's runner-up in the world rankings is playing under par thanks to five birdies and is two shots ahead of Jeff Winther (DAN) and Yannik Paul (ALL). Behind them, we find big names from the European circuit like Tommy Fleetwood or Thorbjørn Olesen in fourth position, three shots behind the leader.

Three French people ranked in the top 20 after these two days of golf in Dubai. Julien Guerrier ranks 18th with a total of -3. Romain Langasque and Antoine Rozner are one step behind in 20th position.

Difficult start to the week for Julien Brun, bottom of the rankings at +7. With numerous errors, he is 57th, already 17 shots behind leader Rory McIlroy.
