South Africa Pro-Am 2025, back to basics

Like a return to the roots, it is in the Kwazulu-Natal region where the South African Pro-Am was born, created by Philippe Heuzé 23 years ago, that the 7rd edition of this extraordinary, exotic and ultra-friendly South African golf experience will take place from February 18 to 2025, 23. A must-try!

A return to historical roots

It all started in 2003 on the spectacular Wild Coast course on Durban's south coast, where the first drive of the South Africa Pro-Am was struck by Frédéric Grosset-Grange. Since this memorable date, thousands of golfers have set foot on the South African greens, renewing themselves at each edition, to discover the fantastic courses of this fascinating country.

Kwazulu-Natal courses in the spotlight

For this 2025 edition, participants will have the privilege of playing on some of the most beautiful courses in the region, including Selborne, Umdoni, Wild Coast, San Lameer, Prince's Grant and Zimbali. Each site offers a unique experience, alternating dream views of the Indian Ocean and the magic of lush tropical forests.

Selborne Hotel Golf & Spa Resort

Players and their companions will be accommodated in the charming Selborne Hotel Golf & Spa Resort, booked exclusively for the event. With its spacious rooms and its "so-British" atmosphere, Selborne promises an unforgettable stay, marked by gourmet dinners prepared by the renowned chef Darren Badenhorst.

The Capital Zimbali Resort

Nestled between the rainforest and the Indian Ocean in a sanctuary of preserved nature where at the bend of a clearing, you can come across some superb specimens of gazelles, harnessed bushbuck, African anhinga, monkeys and kingfisher… The Capital Zimbali Resort welcomes the participants for the second part of the tournament. This sumptuous hotel offers exclusive access to the prestigious Zimbali golf course, a course designed by Tom Weiskopf, reserved for members and residents of the hotel.

Diverse events and activities

The South African Pro-Am is not just about playing exceptional courses. Theme nights, gourmet dinners and excursions add a cultural and festive dimension to this event. Participants will also have the opportunity to extend their stay with a discovery of the reserve Addo Elephant Park and St Francis Links, or even to participate in the Swiss PGA Pro-Am organized by Travel One.

The practical details

Departures from Europe are scheduled for February 7, with arrival in Durban the same day. Return is scheduled for February 18. For those who prefer to organize their own air transportation, a credit of €1250 is included for professionals.
