In addition to performance improvements across the entire range, PING introduces WebFit Junior, an app that recommends club specifications and set composition based on the answers to a few questions about the junior golfer.

« By focusing on the needs of junior golfers and applying our knowledge gained from recent adult product lines, we have been able to improve the performance of the new Prodi G range. This results in more distance and a higher launch, thus ensuring that junior golfers make quality shots and have more fun on the course said John K. Solheim, CEO and President of PING. “ We can also fit clubs to a wider range of sizes with our new fitting app for junior golfers. With the growing popularity of junior golf, we are delighted to offer parents a set of high-end, high-performance clubs specially suited to introduce their children to the sport. »

Custom set includes 10 clubs and two putter options: 15⁰ titanium driver, 22⁰ fairway wood, 28⁰ hybrid, irons (6-9, PW), two wedges (54⁰ S and 58⁰ H) , as well as two putter models validated on the Tour (Anser and Tyne H). These lightweight clubs can be ordered in all possible configurations. Two sizes of Hoofer Prodi G bags (34″ weighing 2kg and 30″ weighing 1,8kg) are available to purchase separately.

New technologies applied to the new Prodi G clubs include thinner, more flexible faces to increase ball speed with fairway woods, as well as irons designed with a lower center of gravity to increase distance and provide a higher launch . Additionally, the two lightweight graphite shafts are tuned to optimize length, weight and balance to meet the swing speeds of junior golfers. Both putter choices offer either a blade with a traditional design or a mallet.

To help parents find the ideal club combination for their junior golfers, the PING fitting team developed WebFit Junior, an application that recommends club specifications and set composition based on the answers to a few questions about the player. This quick process completes in less than two minutes. Recommendations take into account the junior golfer's skill level, age, height, wrist-to-ground measurement and average distance with the driver. Among the results obtained from the data is a club gap analysis feature which allows users to test different set compositions by adding or removing clubs to observe the impact on distance gaps.

« WebFit Junior is an exceptional application, with many very practical features, whether the junior golfer is just starting out or already on the path to becoming a competitive player”, Solheim said. “ This demonstrates our commitment to providing golfers of all ages and skill levels with the latest fitting technology to help them improve their performance. The Distance Gap Analysis tool is ideal for parents looking to optimize their child's set, allowing them to explore different options to find the best club combination. The app also includes a 'Distance Report', a printable document detailing approximate distances per club, useful on the course to aid in selecting appropriate clubs.«

PING also confirmed the continuation of its “Get Golf Growing” program, an innovative initiative in junior golf equipment that offers custom-fitted and manufactured junior clubs. This program includes a one-time free fitting for sets of five or more clubs, aimed at solving the common problem where many junior golfers use clubs that are poorly suited to their game.

Solheim emphasized: “ One of the biggest concerns for parents of young golfers is investing in a set of clubs that will quickly outgrow their children's size. » He added that the “Get Golf Growing” program aims to make the acquisition of tailor-made, high-performance clubs accessible to junior golfers, while encouraging more boys and girls to discover the sport. Prodi G clubs evolve with golfers, essentially offering two sets for the price of one. According to him, better quality equipment could increase young people's enjoyment of golf, thus helping to perpetuate their passion for this sport throughout their lives.
To be eligible for the Get Golf Growing program, the purchase of at least five clubs must be made in a single transaction. Permitted modifications include shaft changes, club lengthening, rebalancing and grip replacement.
