It was under the Armorican sun, which took a little time to show itself, let's be frank, that the spectators of the Open de Bretagne were able to follow the first parts of the tournament. Several players stood out, like Timon BALTL who stole the lead at the end of the day.

While he was part of the last starts of the afternoon, the 26-year-old Austrian was able to remain consistent hole after hole by stringing together several birdies without ever going over par, he finished at -7.

Julien BRUN, Jacques BLAAUW and Haraldur MAGNUS then co-leaders for a large part of this first day are all three in second position, returning a card to -6. They are closely followed by Jeong Weon KO who ends this first round at -5.

Other players were able to shine today, this is notably the case of Jean BEKIRIAN. At just 19 years old, the young Frenchman has two eagles on holes n ° 10 as well as on 11, the signature hole of Golf Bluegreen Pléneuf-Val-André. He finished at -6 at the end of the first 9 holes and finally returned a card to -2 for this first day.

Mathieu DECOTTIGNIES-LAFON for his part returned a card to -1 by signing an eagle at hole n ° 11 just like the German Hurly LONG. The breathtaking view from n ° 11 seems to inspire the golfers of the tournament because it is on this hole that the vast majority of the eagles of this first day took place!

Santiago TARRIO, the current Spaniard leader of the Road to Mallorca, finished at -3 as did Jérôme LANDO CASANOVA. They are classified in 17th position. Nicolas Piquot (AM), director of the Golf Bluegreen Tours-Ardrée, finished at +5.

Five French people are in the top 25 at the end of these first games. The weather promises to be more eventful for the second day of competition since rain is expected from the first starts.
