The creator of My Bunker Shot is at the start of hole #1 of the 4th round of theOmega European Masters, for his very first experience as a game commissioner. And he is rather well served, because he was awarded the flight of the rising golf star, Matteo manassero...

Forza Matteo!

Matteo…the successes, the dark years, the renewal

Youngest winner, at 16, of the 2009 edition of the “British Amateur”, Matteo Manassero will only wait a few months to become, at 17 years and 188 days, the youngest winner of the European Tour. 2010 (Castello Masters Costa Azahar), 2011 (Maybank Malaysian Open), 2012 (Barclays Singapore Open), 2013 (BMW PGA Championship), the victories come one after the other every year, 4 to 20 years, respect, the world of golf is enthusiastic...

And then… A long, very long, too long period of uneven and poor results, which will unfortunately lead to the loss of his card on the European Tour at the end of the 2019 season…
Direction the second European division and the Challenge Tour, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, Matteo at 30 when he finally returned, on May 28, 2023, to Copenhagen Challenge, then the Italian Challenge the following July. Two victories and a return to the European top division… March 10, 2024, Glendower GC, South Africa, Manny wins the Jonsson Workwear Open, his 5th title, 3942 days after his last victory…

Needless to say, when the idea for the Players series was born, Matteo's comeback very quickly inspired My Bunker Shot in fall 2023.

From the memory of this Sunday September 4, 2011, to its return on the DP world Tour in 2024, of this superb example of resilience, the presence of the “MANNY” in this collection was indisputable and it could not be otherwise.

A trucker mesh version, in suede to recall the elegance of our transalpine friends and in Italian colors of course. A 3D embroidery revisited after the creation of the prototype, but…

Anyway, Manny is back, we look forward to hearing “Forza Matteo” again along the fairways of Crans-sur-Sierre GC on September 5, 2024.
