Each year since 1997, the Saint-Nom-la-Bretèche golf course hosts the association Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque for a solidarity golf tournament bringing together 400 people for the benefit of disadvantaged children with heart disease. 2015 target: collect enough money to operate on 11 children.

Historical event of the association, the Trophy of the Heart, which takes place this year on April 14, allows to raise funds to operate on children with heart defects. Each year, many personalities such as Dany Boon, Gerard Holtz or Nelson Monfort participate in this competition in support of the actions of Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque.

The association also offers the online sale of golf products such as polo shirts, sweaters, balls, tees, umbrellas and golf belts with the emblem of the white and red heart symbol of the association.

Since the creation of the association in 1996 by Professor Francine Leca and Patrice Roynette, golfing activities have saved more than 170 children. Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque allows children with heart defects coming from underprivileged countries to have an operation in France when this is impossible at home for lack of technical or financial means. Hosted by volunteer host families and operated in nine cities in France (Angers, Bordeaux, Lyon, Marseille, Nantes, Paris, Strasbourg, Toulouse and Tours), nearly 2500 children have already been taken care of since the creation of the 'Association.
