Thanks to a great last day in 66 (-6), Max Homa won the Farmers Insurance Open, his sixth victory on the PGA Tour. He is two strokes ahead of Keegan Bradley and Collin Morikawa completes the podium. Jon Rahm, a time at the forefront of the event finally finished in seventh position five strokes from victory.

This week's PGA Tour tournament, the Farmers Insurance Open was held in San Diego, California. The event featured a strong player field with five players from the world's top 10, including Jon Rahm who has been decidedly in form in recent weeks with four wins from his last six tournaments (two PGA Tour wins and two DP World Tour wins) .

The Spaniard was at the forefront during the last round of this Farmers Insurance Open but was unable to convert this chance of victory. Thanks to a card of 66 (-6), it is the American Max Homa who is heading for victory in California. Fourth at the start of the last lap, Homa signed seven birdies for a bogey to win with two strokes ahead of his nearest pursuer. At 32, he won his sixth victory on the PGA Tour.

Keegan Bradley finishes second this week with him also a card of 66 (-6) on Sunday. Collin Morikawa completes the podium.

Jon Rahm currently 3rd player in the world, had a chance to take over the world throne from Northern Irishman Rory McIlroy if successful. The game went badly for the Spaniard +3 after five holes due to a bogey and a double bogey. He ends his week with a card of 74 (+2) which takes him away from the trophy. He finishes seventh.
