A three-quarter female team won the first Amiens Pro-Am, Friday and Saturday, on the almost century-old course located in the Querrieu forest. Good humor, formidable greens, a gourmet dinner and the sound and light show of the cathedral were on the program for these two beautiful days of golf.

They were merciless to their opponents. Carole Danten-Azfi (index 0,1), Edwige Herbette (9,2) and Dominique Jamin (11,5), assisted by Abdel Azfi (future pro of Inesis Golf de Marcq-en-Baroeul) won the bet of the first Amiens Pro-Am, from July 19 to 20, both gross (142 points) and net (163 points). The secret of their success? "It's Carole, she made 11 birdies in two days", respond at heart Edwige, gemologist (specialist in precious stones) in the civilian sector, and Dominique, secretary general of the Hauts-de-France League.

Member of the Amiens club and captain of the senior French team, Carole made the most of her good knowledge of the course and in particular of its mischievous greens, which had been refurbished for two years and particularly fast during the tournament. As for the founder of Swing Féminin, Thierry Plassais, he spent Saturday two centimeters from the hole in one and the sculpture by Hubert Privé, offered for the occasion.

This brand new Pro-Am, organized by Christophe Cantegrel ** and his wife Patricia, was a success on the fairways, but also outside. On Friday evening, the participants gathered on the banks of the Somme for a cocktail on the Nelson's terrace, with a superb view of Amiens Cathedral. Before continuing with a gala dinner at the Les Orfèvres restaurant and ending the evening with the sound and light show organized in the summer around the largest cathedral in France, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The awards ceremony around a cocktail lunch was honored by the presence of the mayor of Amiens Brigitte Fouré, who highlighted all the charms of her city, just 1h30 from the north of Paris.
