It is at the end of a small quiet lane at 11e district, far from the Parisian bustle, that is Laï Thaï, which one could translate by "the art of working with the hand", says the director, Thanya Prasawang. Opened in 2006, this traditional Thai massage institute quickly established itself as one of the best addresses in the capital. "We benefit from very good word of mouth, our customers often even come with their families", underlines Thanya Prasawang. A sign of this great success, the Institute has nearly 800 subscribers and welcomes many celebrities. "But we want to treat everyone the same"she insists.

These are seven practitioners, originally from Thailand, who take turns every day from 11 am to 20 pm. Among them, Madame Boi, one of the oldest Thai masseuses in Paris. The traditional Thai massage, which takes its source at the birth of Buddhism, is performed dressed in size XXXXL pajamas (advice, fasten your belt!). The practitioner uses the Nuad Bo'Rarn technique which alternates between pressure with the palms of the hands or the thumb and stretching, thus allowing all the energies to be balanced.

Experienced, masseuses adapt perfectly to the needs of the clients, to their tolerance threshold to pressure and to their flexibility. A quasi-therapeutic massage of the neck as well as a delicious kneading of the scalp concludes a peaceful moment, where one gives up completely at times. The icing on the cake is the cup of summer fruits (watermelon, melon, pineapple) accompanied by a delicate fruity-flowery tea, offered by the house, just to prolong relaxation in an atmosphere combining Thai tradition and design contemporary. Laï Thaï: a unique relaxing experience.
