Lacoste will supply the Presidents Cup outfits for the American and international teams at the Royal Melbourne (December 9-15) for the second consecutive year. This Team Match Play competition has pitted the United States against a team for the rest of the World since 1994.

Lacoste also designed closing ceremonial outfits as well as a collection of Presidents Cup gear for fans. Coins are not yet available, but keep an eye out for the launch as the tournament approaches. If you can't wait, you can now buy similar looks on Lacoste.com

As you might expect, the American team's outfits are red, white and blue. The team will start the first round wearing a red striped golf shirt (bottom left) and white pants. The look is ultra-patriotic and refined. If the temperatures turn, players have the option to layer in bold red V-neck sweaters.

The team will wear blue stripes for the second and third days of competition. A light blue top with micro stripes and navy pants will give the team a simple and professional look in the second round. For round three, expect a bolder look from Americans with a navy red striped top (top right) and matching bright red pants. It will be the most elegant and fiery look of the tournament.

To end the week, the United States team will throw a red jersey over navy pants. Whether Sunday red is a nod to Captain Tiger Woods or not, it's a great way to end the week.

On the other hand, equipping the international team represents a unique challenge. So far, among the eight confirmed players in the international squad, there are Australia (Adam Scott, Marc Leishman and Cameron Smith), mainland China (Haotong Li), Chinese Taipei (CT Pan), the Japan (Hideki Matsuyama), Mexico (Abraham Ancer), South Africa (Louis Oosthuizen), which could thus integrate several potential colors in its palette. Lacoste went for low-key outfits for round one and two with a simple navy look on round one and a black shirt over khaki pants for round two. Things will brighten up a bit more during the final two rounds with a stylish green top over white pants for day three of competition as well as a fun green striped polo shirt over black pants for the final.
