The Jaguar I-PACE is the electric vehicle (EV) that drivers have been waiting for. Clean, intelligent, safe, the I-PACE offers the performance of a sportswoman, the latest artificial intelligence (AI) technologies and the practicality of a 5-seater SUV.

We started from a blank page in order to master new battery technologies and offer an architecture designed from the start to optimize performance, aerodynamics and livability. The I-PACE is a real Jaguar and an electric dream come true. With I-PACE, fuel pumps are a thing of the past. After recharging overnight, customers will wake up every morning having 'had their fill'!

Electric

Based on the latest 90kWh Lithium-ion batteries comprising 432 cells, the autonomy of the I-PACE can reach 480km (WLTP cycle). It will be possible to charge the battery from 0 to 80% in just 40 minutes using a fast DC charger (100kW). A 7kW AC outlet will reach the same charge level in just over 10 hours - ideal for overnight recharging. Autonomy optimization technologies include a battery preconditioning system: once connected, the I-PACE will automatically adjust the temperature of its battery to maximize autonomy before the journey begins.

Performance

The two electric motors designed by Jaguar - each with a through drive shaft for more compactness - are positioned on each axle of the car. They develop 400hp and 696Nm between them and provide the I-PACE with all-wheel drive for better performance on all surfaces. The high torque and high efficiency of the engines allow the I-PACE to cover 0-100km / h in just 4,8 seconds. This level of performance is combined with exceptional comfort and handling. The aluminum architecture specially designed for the car is particularly rigid; the battery is housed between the two axles which use a double wishbone suspension at the front and Integral Link at the rear with, as an option, air suspension and the Adaptive Dynamics system. The positioning of the battery made it possible to obtain a weight distribution of 50:50 and a center of gravity 130mm lower than on the F-PACE.

Design

Nothing on the road will look like the Jaguar I-PACE. It has been designed and developed to make the most of its intelligent kinematic chain and optimize livability.

Its sleek coupe silhouette is influenced by the Jaguar C-X75 supercar, with its short, low bonnet, aerodynamic roof design and curved rear window. The 'forward cab' design contrasts with the straighter rear which helps lower the Cx to 0,29. To reconcile cooling and aerodynamics, active valves housed in the radiator grille open when cooling is required but close when it is no longer necessary to redirect the air to the air intake integrated in the the hood.

Inside, passengers have optimized space and sophisticated materials - including optional Kvadrat textile upholstery. Attention to detail is typical of Jaguar.

Although belonging to the premium SUV category, the I-PACE's 'forward cabin' design and its electric drive have created a cabin comparable to that of a large SUV. The rear legroom is 890mm and the absence of a transmission tunnel has allowed the integration of a central storage space of 10,5 liters. In the rear, storage has been provided for tablets and laptops under the seats; the luggage compartment offers a capacity of 656 liters - and 1453 liters with the seats folded down.

Connected car

The I-PACE is the first Jaguar to receive the Touch Pro Duo infotainment system. By combining touch screens, capacitive sensors and physical controls, the use of Touch Pro Duo is intuitive.

The new EV navigation system assesses the route topography, adds the history of previous trips, including driving style, and calculates personalized range and recharges with exceptional precision that inspires confidence.

The advanced system uses 'Smart Settings' technology, intelligent parameters determined by artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms which identify the driver's preferences to adapt the driving of the I-PACE and the interior settings.

The I-PACE will also be equipped with the Amazon Alexa Skill. Users will be able to ask Alexa questions about the information contained in the Jaguar InControl Remote app. For example: is my car locked? What is the charge level? Is the autonomy sufficient to go to the office?

To ensure users permanent access to the latest updates, they will be done by OTA (over-the-air) imperceptibly

Property

With competitive holding costs and residual values, the I-PACE will be appreciated by private customers, professionals and companies wishing to reduce their carbon footprint and the cost of their fleet. The I-PACE will be available from March 1 in S, SE and HSE versions alongside a First Edition, all inspired by the design of the original concept. As a responsible Group, Jaguar Land Rover is committed to extending the life of the batteries in its electric vehicles by cooperating with new partners specializing in recycling and second life energy storage tests.
