Thanks to a huge 62 (-9), the American Nelly Korda takes the lead of the Olympic event with 4 strokes ahead of her first pursuer. After two laps, the French find themselves in the middle of the standings: Perrine Delacour is 27th (-2) and Céline Boutier is back in 30th position (-1).

Women's Olympic event (2nd round): Nelly Korda takes over the leadership.

Women's Olympic event (2nd round): Nelly Korda alone at the controls with 4 lengths ahead.

During this second round of the games, the world number one, Nelly Korda, second after a first round in 67 (-4), made an exceptional card of 62 (-9). After an error-free start and 4 starts on these first 4 holes, the American finished her first leg with 4 birdies and an eagle for a passage in -6. She started her comeback with 3 row birdies on holes 12, 13 and 14 then made 2 new birdies on holes 16 and 17. She arrived -11 at the start of the 18th hole, but after a bad face-off and a stroke. Too aggressive wedge ending in the bunker, she commits a double bogey and therefore closes at -9.

Thanks to this 62, she equaled the record for the lowest lap in an Olympic event (the Russian Maria Verchenova had signed a 62 during the last lap of the Rio Games in 2016)

Having started one step ahead of Korda, the leader of the first round Madelene Sagström enters a card of 68 (-3) and is demoted to 5th place at -8 total.

Despite 4 strokes ahead for the American leader, the standings remain tight behind her, her top ten pursuers standing in 4 strokes.

47th after the first lap with a +3 card, Shanshan Feng, Bronze medalist in 2016, climbs back to 11th place on the leaderboard with a nice lap in 64 (-7). Jessica Korda, older sister of the world number 1, is also in 11th place with a total of -4.

Blue side

Perrine Delacour signs a new 70 (-1), 3 birdies against 2 bogeys, for a -2 total synonymous with 27th place.

Céline Boutier, after a difficult end of the first round gave us a good reaction during this second round with a card of 68 (-3). After a go to -2, she began her return with a bogey on the par 3 of hole number 10 but ended up with two birdies on holes 13 and 15 and moved back to 30th position at -1 overall.
