Ewart Shadoff wins, top 10 for Boutier
Thanks to a last card of 71 (-1), the Englishwoman Jodi Ewart Shadoff wins the LPGA Mediheal Championship one step ahead of the Japanese Yuka Saso. Céline Boutier with a last card under par, signs a solid top 10, eighth five strokes from victory. Pauline Roussin-Bouchard finished 22nd in the event.
On the Saticoy Club in California, it was an Englishwoman who managed to pull out of the game. With a total score of -15 and a final card of 71 (-1) on Sunday, Jodi Ewart Shadoff won this LPGA Mediheal Championship. With only three fairways missed (out of 56) and 81% of greens hit in regulation, the 34-year-old was able to rely on her long game to sail towards victory.
She is slightly ahead of the Japanese Yuka Saso who sounded the charge during the last lap. She signs two bogeys, an eagle and six birdies, including three in a row on the last three holes to fail a short shot from the playoff. It still makes an honorable card of 66 (-6) synonymous with second place.
A monumental moment for this champion.
