With an expanded offer of four award-winning, world-class golf courses, Costa Navarino launches the 2023 golf season and paves the way for a new era, becoming one of the first eco-sustainable destinations in the Mediterranean.

After a landmark year that included the launch of the first International Olympic Academy golf course and its neighboring Hills course, providing the perfect complement to the famous Dunes Course and Bay Course, Costa's four exclusive 18-hole award-winning courses Navarino have been open since February 20. The destination is ready to welcome players of all levels in the "World's Best Emerging Golf Destination", recognized at the World Golf Awards 2022.

The Westin Resort Costa Navarino – the ideal family and sports destination – reopened its doors on February 19, the Mouratoglou Tennis Center, opens in March. The W Costa Navarino lifestyle resort will reopen on April 5, while the authentic setting of The Romanos, a Luxury Collection Resort, will welcome guests from April 13.

The buzzing Navarino Agora open market will also make its debut in April, while a new water sports center will join Costa Navarino's diverse offering. In terms of gastronomy, more than 15 new venues are planned to enhance the dining experience across the destination.

Costa Navarino Mandarin Oriental opening for summer 2023

Finally, summer 2023 marks the Greek debut of the highly anticipated Mandarin Oriental – one of the world's most desirable hotel brands – adding to and complementing the already existing high-end hotel offering in Costa Navarino.

The luxurious beachfront Mandarin Oriental, Costa Navarino will offer 99 rooms, including 48 spacious, land-sheltered pool villas, all with outdoor terraces and stunning sea views, as well as five restaurants and bars and a 1 m 500 spa and fitness center with a superb 2m indoor-outdoor swimming pool. It will be located amidst a 25-hectare natural landscape in Navarino Bay, already home to the bay's iconic 140-hole course, with stunning views of historic Navarino Bay.

Costa Navarino will further strengthen its sustainable credentials in 2023 by adopting a number of new golf course initiatives. In addition to reducing the total turf area that needs to be irrigated on the Bay and Dunes courses by five and ten percent respectively, through the increased use of native plants and recycled olive wood branches, the destination is promoting a plastic-free philosophy across all of its golf venues, eliminating the use of all plastic bottles on and off the course. This comes as a natural step, following the destination's partnership with WWF Greece, in an effort to limit single-use plastics in its resorts and operations. Another key objective set by Costa Navarino is to achieve carbon neutrality for GHG emissions resulting from the activities of the facilities by 2030,

Navarino Agora – a new approach to the marketplace concept

Located between the Navarino waterfront and Navarino Bay, the vibrant Agora of Navarino will be launched in April. The modern and vibrant market will enrich the experience for all guests, residents, as well as the general public, with a wide range of outlets, restaurants and street food options, an open-air cinema, in more than an exciting program of events. celebrate and showcase local culture and traditions.

A residential community comes to life

This year will see the residential community of Costa Navarino Residences grow, as Navarino Dunes welcomes the first owners of Rolling Greens – the neighborhood that has sold out in just one year since its launch in 2020 – alongside residents of the Sea Dunes neighborhoods and Olive Grove. In addition, Costa Navarino Residences will also present its new residential project in the resort area of ​​Navarino Dunes, Valley Greens, which offers a range of two-bedroom semi-detached villas to four-bedroom detached villas, based on the 'turnkey' model.

A brand new watersports hub will make waves

Also in April, a new watersports center will open at Navarino Waterfront, offering a wide range of watersports such as windsurfing, waterskiing, as well as kayaking and SUP, while offering equipment and state-of-the-art training options.

A destination all year round

With a total of four distinct locations comprising five-star hotels, exclusive golf courses, private residences, over 40 restaurants and entertainment venues and an abundance of sports and entertainment experiences, Costa Navarino has made Messinia a place to live and discover. This year will be a milestone for the destination, with its biggest offering yet for its guests and residents.

A new four-day-a-week service between Athens and Kalamata
makes Costa Navarino more accessible than ever.

Olympic Air – a subsidiary of Aegean Airlines – will connect Kalamata to Athens International Airport four times a week from May 19, opening multiple international routes with the Star Alliance network and Aegean Airlines.

Additional new routes include weekly Aegean Airlines flights from May 15 connecting Tel Aviv to Kalamata, and weekly flights from Nantes, operated by Volotea, from May 30.
