This competition in favor of the LFSEP makes it possible to collect donations in favor of Medical Research and people concerned by Multiple Sclerosis.

Thanks to your support and that of the 600 participants in the 2019 edition, the Challenge G. Mauduit raised 29 euros for the benefit of the LFSEP in order to promote medical research and the quality of life of people with this disease.

Let's meet again this year for these beautiful days of sport and solidarity!

What is Multiple Sclerosis?

Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a chronic autoimmune disease that affects the brain and spinal cord. It is a very disabling disease even if 80% of the symptoms are invisible to the general public (pain, cognitive symptoms, extreme fatigue, etc.) In France, where nearly 115 people are affected, it is the leading cause of disability. young people (the disease most often manifested between 000 and 20 years). It affects three times more women than men. Two out of three patients are unemployed due to their MS and find it difficult to continue their leisure activities and lead a normal life.

Fighting Multiple Sclerosis together

The therapeutic advances made in recent years have made it possible to improve the daily life of people with MS, but to date there is no treatment to cure it.

The current context of health crisis has emphasized the major role of Research teams when dealing with a disease without effective drugs. In addition, the progress made in understanding the immune mechanisms involved in MS and the development of new treatments are an additional weapon in the fight against other diseases.

Thanks to donations, the French League against Multiple Sclerosis (LFSEP) can support MS research and continue its action of information and listening to patients and their families. This support for people affected by MS is provided by around fifty volunteers and 40 patient experts in France.

Through the Challenge G. Mauduit, the LFSEP has multiple objectives: to raise awareness of Multiple Sclerosis, to promote the practice of a sports activity to limit the progression of the handicap and to raise donations to help fight against the disease.
