Cazoo Open de France: Rasmus Højgaard flies over the Albatross
Usually so hard on the players of the DP World Tour, the Golf National course had a hard time defending itself during this first day. Rasmus Højgaard signs the card of the day, 62 (-9), card which allows him to take first place in the ranking of the Cazoo Open de France with a stroke ahead of Alexander Björk. Paul Barjon completes the podium thanks to his card of 65 (-6).
The edition of the Cazoo Open de France 2022 is launched and this first day at Le Golf National saw a shower of birdies from the players of the DP World Tour. Rasmus Højgaard simply signed ten during his first lap, for a bogey: a card of 62 (-9) which allows him to settle in the leader's chair. His last birdie on hole 18 allows him to equalize the course record in 62 (-9).

Two shots behind the Norwegian, we find the Swede Alexander Björk, who signs a card of 64 (-7).
Paul Barjon, with his seven birdies and a single bogey, completes the podium at -6, three strokes behind the leader.
The French clan performed particularly well during this first round since five other tricolors rank in the top 20:
- Julien Brun and Martin Couvra (Amateur) are fourth thanks to cards of 66 (-5).
- In 11th place, we find three Frenchmen: Matthieu Pavon, Mathieu Decottignies-Lafon and Tom Vaillant (Amateur). They all play 68 (-3).

As for the headliners of the tournament, Robert Macintyre, winner last week in Italy, ranks 9th at -4, just like Thomas Pieters.
Victor Perez plays 69 (-2), he is 21st. Patrick Reed the American, plays over par, 73 (+2), he is 96th.
