New major week this week for the best players in the world and more precisely US Women's Open week. Two French women will be present in North Carolina for this second Grand Slam tournament of the season: Pauline Roussin-Bouchard and Céline Boutier.

A new important stage of the season begins this week in North Carolina: the US Women's Open. The first major of the season, the Chevron Championship had crowned the American Jennifer Kupcho for the last edition of this tournament in Mission Hills. This week, it is Yuka Saso who will defend his title acquired in 2021.

A former champion of the event will be present this week: Michelle Wie West. Winner of the event in 2014, the American will try to score points this week, she who fell to 562nd place in the world. She only played one tournament in 2022, the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions where she finished 28th.

Two French women will be present this week on the course of the Pine Needles Lodge & Golf Club.

Pauline Roussin-Bouchard, currently 63rd in the Race to CME Globe, will try to improve on her best performance in this tournament, which is 46th place in 2020 during her only participation. Our young Frenchwoman is currently ranked 134th in the world. She will partner Paula Reto (South Africa) and amateur Bailey Shoemaker (USA) in the first two rounds.

Céline Boutier, firmly attached to her place in the world's top 20, will be associated with two major winners in the first two rounds: Thailand's Patty Tavatanakit and Korea's Sei Young Kim. The French number 1 spent all the Cuts of her start to the season, signing four top 5s and a top 10.

Pauline Roussin-Bouchard will start at 13:25 p.m. from tee 10 for this first round. Céline Boutier will start a few minutes later at 13:58 p.m., also from tee 10.
