The first edition of the Arcangues Pro-Am took place last weekend in a chic and festive atmosphere. With Sothebys and the Hôtel du Palais in Biarritz as main sponsors and numerous stays and green fees to be won, the 21 teams were particularly spoiled.

The 84 participants (21 teams) of the Arcangues Pro-Am were quickly able to check the quality of the course and the drainage of the greens. Forced momentarily to interrupt the festivities during the first round due to heavy rains, the golfers resumed play on perfectly playable greens. In Brut, the local child Julien Mercier's team won the competition, which was contested in a shamble formula over two days. In Net, the first place went to the team of Jérémy Belliard, and his 17 birdies on the clock. The approach competition goes to Lyonnelle Le Piouff, who planted the ball just 75 centimeters from the flag.

Chic and friendly atmosphere throughout the weekend with a gourmet dinner at the Imperial Salon of the Hôtel du Palais in Biarritz on Saturday, then a richly endowed awards ceremony at the Arcangues golf club house. With stays up for grabs at Anahita (Mauritius), Evian Resorts, Vaudreuil or Empordà (Spain), greens fees at St Andrews and Vuissens (Switzerland), magnums, Srixon bags and many tee-gifts, the participants were spoiled and have already arranged to meet next year.
