Created in July 2023 by Jules Barranco and Arthur Derderian, the company Another
Swing launches an assault on the market for the collection and recycling of golf balls.
Located near Rouen, the two young entrepreneurs make it a point of honor to preserve the environment and reuse stray bullets.

In the dynamic world of golf, where the elegance of the swing blends with the natural beauty of the courses, an innovative initiative has emerged in France. The story of Another Swing, which dates back to 2020 in Australia, came to fruition in 2023 under the Norman sun. Two young entrepreneurs, Jules Barranco and Arthur Derderian, have joined forces to create a company that combines passion, respect for the environment and social commitment.

Their common adventure began during a shared internship, where they discovered their common interest in golf. While pursuing their studies in business school, each has traced its own professional path. However, the call of their shared passion ultimately led to the creation of Another Swing in July 2023.

The concept of Another Swing is simple and innovative in its approach: recover golf balls lost in the obstacles of the course, clean them carefully, then give them a second life by reselling them. In collaboration with their partner golf courses, Jules and Arthur fish out the balls from the ponds, giving the balls a second life and thus reducing the pollution of the balls degrading on contact with water over time, while preserving the environment.

The recovered bales then go through an eco-friendly cleaning process at their warehouse in Rouen, Normandy. Once restored to their original state, these balls regain their elegance and performance of yesteryear.

The balls are then classified by brand, model and quality levels, according to rigorous criteria. This approach allows golf enthusiasts to choose balls that meet their needs, while helping to reduce waste and protect the environment.

Jules Barranco told us in a telephone interview: « We are committed over time to partner golf courses, which their ensures that the spaces are regularly cleaned. From one to three visits per year are necessary, depending on site traffic and the volume of bales fished out. »

“30% of the bales recovered are unusable, they are then redirected by us, in a material recycling circuit via an approved company. » highlighted Jules Barranco.

Another Swing thus embodies the perfect alliance between passion, innovation and commitment to the planet. By creating this company, Jules Barranco and Arthur Derderian, prove that sporting excellence can rhyme with environmental responsibility. An idea from Australia, cultivated in Normandy and destined to flourish on courses around the world.
