Justin Rose remains the leader of the Augusta Masters after the second round, despite a more modest 71. He is one shot ahead of Bryson DeChambeau, who is closing in thanks to a solid 68. Friday was especially notable for Rory McIlroy's return to the top of the leaderboard thanks to a 66 (-6), his best card of the day. Matthieu Pavon will not be present this weekend after a difficult week in +10.

Justin Rose maintains his lead at the 2025 Augusta Masters after the second round. With a 71, he posted a total of -8, enough to maintain his lead on the leaderboard. Behind him, Bryson DeChambeau posted a solid score of 68 (-4), which puts him at -7 overall, just one behind the English leader. The two men will share the final round on the moving day: it feels like the Ryder Cup!

Today's comeback is a credit to Rory McIlroy. With a superb 66, he moved up 24 places and onto the provisional podium alongside Corey Conners, at -6. Unlucky in the first round with two double bogeys, Rory still has every chance thanks to this superb card. He will be in the penultimate round this Saturday, which will take some of the pressure off him, just a little, as he continues to chase the Grand Slam.

Matt McCarty, also shooting a 68, moved up six places and shared fifth place at -5. He was joined by Shane Lowry, who also moved up six places with a solid -4 on the day. Scottie Scheffler and Tyrell Hatton were also in fifth place at -5.

An emotional moment for German Bernhard Langer, who made the final comeback of his career on the 18th hole at Augusta National. The German champion even came close to playing this weekend, had his final putt not stayed on the edge of the hole.

It's a great weekend for our Frenchman, Matthieu Pavon. After a poor start on the greens at Augusta with a 78 (+6), the Bordeaux native scored 76 (+4) this Friday. With his total of +10, he finds himself well off the cut line (+2).
