Are you more of a sauna or a hammam? Thanks to Philippe Heuzé, the question no longer arises since Voyages Golfissimes has succeeded in bringing together ten teams during the 1st Am-Am Les Bordes Les Aisses on the banks of the Loire at the end of June.

Ten teams of four players, some knowing each other, discovering each other for others but all enjoying the same friendliness of the organizers both on the courses and in the evening during a cocktail at the Villa Bellevue, a house in Orleans facing the river perfectly suitable for hosting evenings, seminars, meetings in an elegant, quiet setting, ten minutes from the station and motorway access.

An evening where champagne, rosé and other thirst-quenching drinks delighted all the participants, those who had managed Les Bordes well at the end of the first round as well as those who had to drown their sorrow and the mourning of a few stray bullets in the Ponds of Sologne ... Seeking to open up again to green fees, the Bordes club has always welcomed the forty players with the same sense of perfection, delighted to set foot on this Eden over 18 holes! Some discovered it, others came back to it but everyone knew what to expect. Rigor and humility, the key words of a hope for a good map on this route celebrating its XNUMXth anniversary this year. Baron Bich is no longer there, Bob Von Hagge, the Californian architect, either, but their baby has grown up, still so hard to control ... And what about the tranquility of the walls of the clubhouse, where the table is generous, the soft armchairs and the view of the course more serene at a time when golfers give way to animals, at home for a long time ...

The next day, we wake up in the morning and head to Les Aisses, a route that has recently had a facelift under the guidance of Martin Hawtree. Softer in appearance than its illustrious neighbor and elder, the route of the Aisses - like the boar adorning its coat of arms - is not easily tamed. In a damp warmth that honors the game formula, the players launched into shotguns at 9 o'clock. Much more natural in appearance, preserving the ferns, heather, oak, birch and coniferous forests, the route may seem long for those who suffer on their face-offs. Some teams have paid the price even if the losses bullets became rarer, with water only coming into play five times where it is omnipresent in Les Bordes.

Leader from the first round in gross, Normans Cosme and Christophe Bidaud, Hervé Dupuis, Bruno Demech managed to keep their lead even if the Belgians' comeback from Royal Waterloo was dazzling, leaving with pretty baskets filled with Loire food. The net came back to a team making the big gap between Aix-en-Provence and Paris, a sort of OM-PSG on the greens in perfect harmony since Laetitia Mandonnet, Jean-Pierre Brochiero, Olivier Masse and Thierry Plassais stayed the course until 'at the last putt, synonymous with victory. The Burgundians Martine and Marcel Tixier, Simone Fusaro and Philippe Mathieu were awarded 2nd place in net awarded bottles of the Loire Valley ...

At the end of a regenerating lunch taken on the terrace of the Aisses, everyone returned to their land after a few exchanges of emails and "06", with the promise to meet again soon on the events of a busy Golfissimes calendar. Meetings often more distant, such as the Pro-Am des Bordes at the end of August, the North-South in St-Tropez in September, the Grand Voyage to the Fiji Islands, Hong-Kong and Singapore in November, the New Years Eve in Kenya and Tanzania, the 15th Pro-Am of South Africa to Cape Town and Fancourt in January and the Pro-Am of Vietnam in April 2018.
